This five to six-year-old whiskey is the epitome of Jack Daniel’s. Only when the tasters deem it good is it bottled from the handcrafted barrels. Absolutely not for whiskey novices, as it’s simply not for the faint of heart. Old No. 7 has been produced according to the original recipe since 1866 and has been an integral part of the spirits world ever since.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Even in the nose, it is very energetic, fiery, and phenolic, smelling of oak and licorice, with a slightly sweet touch.
Palate: The taste is initially very intense, then somewhat softer, very oily, still tasting of licorice, with a hint of toffee.
Finish: Virtually endless finish. You can also taste the oak and oily flavor, complemented by a hint of corn and malt in the aftertaste.

Cocktail Tip: Godfather No. 7

Ingredients: 25ml Jack Daniel’s Old No.7, 12.5 ml Amaretto, cola, ice cubes, orange slice, a cherry.
Preparation: First, fill a whiskey glass with ice cubes, then pour the Old No. 7 over the ice. Now add the remaining ingredients and stir. Finally, garnish with an orange slice and a cherry.
