Feudo Croci Byzantium Primitivo di Manduria 2021

15,09  incl. VAT

This wine can be cellared for up to 9 years and is ready to enjoy right away, with no need for decanting.

Feudo Croci was founded in 2001 by Gian Andrea Tinazzi, who was inspired by the incredible potential of the Salento region’s vineyards and unique terroir. He purchased 20 hectares of land surrounding a beautiful farmhouse in Carosino. The estate cultivates indigenous grape varieties like Primitivo, Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera, and Malvasia Blanca, all of which thrive in the warm, sunny climate.

This exceptional red wine is made entirely from Primitivo grapes grown in the family’s Carisino vineyards. At the winery, the grapes are crushed and destemmed before fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the pure characteristics of the Primitivo grape. The wine then matures for 6-8 months in 5-hectoliter French and American oak barrels.

This results in a rich and intense Puglian red wine, bursting with flavors of luscious dark berries, ripe plums, and crushed cherries. On the palate, it has a full body, firm yet supple tannins, and a well-structured character. This wine pairs perfectly with hearty red meat dishes like barbecued ribs, venison, steak, and tomato-based pasta sauces.
