Tement Sauvignon Blanc Ried Sernau König Steinfass 2020

The Große STK Ried Sernau König is one of Tement’s best vineyard sites. The old vines are rooted in pure gravel at over 500 meters above sea level. The very high-altitude site protrudes from the forest in a southerly to west-southwesterly direction and is thus strongly influenced by the Koralm winds, whose cooling effect gives the grapes an additional week of ripening time.

Since 2017, part of the harvest has been fermented and aged in granite barrels, which perfectly supports the depth and tightness of the wine. The wine starts with a reductive note and develops more juiciness and gripping energy with every sip. A trendsetting wine with complexity and length, organically grown, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Great potential.
