Sauvignon Blanc Bergwein Südsteiermark 2022

Grown on steep limestone soils, spontaneously fermented in traditional wooden barrels, and aged for 17 months on the fine lees, the Bergwein (mountain wine) from Gross is a tribute to the hard manual labor on the steep slopes. In fact, the focused Sauvignon with its intense herbal aromas, reminiscent of lemon balm and mint, makes the mountain almost tangible. Together with the elegant interplay of fruit between cassis, star fruit, and grapefruit, this results in a versatile and exciting wine that excellently represents its origin.
