The Pinot Noir grows in a tiny vineyard in the Ried Oberläng and draws light, delicate fruit and fine salinity from the barren gravel and limestone soil. Whole-bunch pressing and a whole year on the fine lees in a 600-liter barrel made from Neckenmarkt oak from their own forest provide creaminess and smoothness. Bone dry and balanced by lively acidity, this rarity scores with elegance and great drinkability.
