Louis Michel & Fils has been an integral part of the picturesque Chablis landscape since the 19th century. They possess an impressive portfolio of vineyards, including a collection of Premier Cru sites. “Montmain” is one such gem—an early-ripening vineyard nestled on a clay hillside, known for producing wines with an elegant and vibrant personality.

This Premier Cru “Montmain” is sourced from four distinct parcels on the left bank of the Serein River. This 100% Chardonnay entices with aromas of ripe, sweet citrus fruits and crisp green-skinned apples. The palate is focused and precise, offering lively notes of candied lemon, orange, and pear, all underpinned by a classic Chablis minerality. You’ll also discover subtle hints of almond and yeast, a result of spontaneous malolactic fermentation. The wine spends up to 16 months in stainless steel tanks before bottling, preserving its purity and vibrancy.
