Green to red apple with engagingly precise ripeness, lemons, and some lemongrass are the defining aromas for this high-quality Veltliner from the Erste Lage (premier cru) vineyard. The piquant acidity and delicate creaminess provide an excellent framework.

Playful, refined, and lively, the Grüner Veltliner Ried Zwetl is a prime example of Martin Nigl’s inviting, delicate style. With a lot of knowledge and skill, he gets the best out of the unique Ried in Rehberg, which consists of an amphibolite base with a loess layer about one meter thick. The combination of the cool minerality of the subsoil and the substance of the loess soil is clearly reflected in the complexity of the wine.
