F.X. Pichler Grüner Veltliner Ried Frauenweingarten 2022

The Grüner Veltliner Ried Frauenweingarten from the cult winery F.X. Pichler impresses with its fine, delicately smoky spice and juicy fruit, which harmonize wonderfully both on the nose and on the palate, ensuring tremendous drinkability.

The Frauenweingarten vineyard, whose name dates back to the women’s monastery in Dürnstein, is located on the plain near the Danube, between the towns of Oberloiben and Unterloiben. With its deep, partly Danube gravel-mixed loess and loam soils, it is an outstanding Veltliner site.

Lucas Pichler places particular emphasis on ensuring that the subtle nuances of each vineyard are perceptible, recognizable, and, above all, tasteable in their uniqueness. This wine reflects its terroir exceptionally well even in its youth but is also characterized by its aging potential.
