Eichinger Grüner Veltliner Ried Grub 2022

Through a period of maceration and 6 months of aging on the full lees in large and small wooden barrels, a powerful and voluminous wine is created, boasting intense pome fruit aromas and fine smokiness. Clear spice, a mineral background, and a long-lasting finish with a creamy texture characterize this distinctive wine.

The grapes for this Grüner Veltliner come from the Kessellage Grub, which is sheltered from the wind on three sides and only open to the south. It is located between the Heiligenstein and Gaisberg vineyards, characterized by loess and loam, and served as a camp for mammoth and reindeer hunters 20,000 years ago.
