This wine is ready to be enjoyed now, but it also has the structure and complexity to age gracefully for up to 15 years in your cellar. Decanting for up to an hour before serving is recommended to allow its full aromatic expression.

Domaine Zind-Humbrecht has earned a reputation as one of the most consistent producers in Alsace, with a rich winemaking heritage dating back to 1620. The modern winery, founded in 1959, is owned and operated by the esteemed winemaking duo of Margaret and Olivier Humbrecht, who were joined by their sons in 2019. The domaine spans 42 hectares of prime Alsatian vineyards, encompassing a range of Grand Cru sites and unique terroirs.

This exceptional Riesling hails from the high-altitude Windsbuhl vineyard, a site that yields wines with remarkable precision and intensity. It’s a testament to the exceptional quality of Riesling that can be achieved in Alsace.

This wine shines in the glass with a pale straw yellow hue. The nose is a captivating symphony of pure lemon, stone fruit, petrol, and saline minerality.

On the palate, the Windsbuhl Riesling is remarkably dry, with a powerful acidity and complex fruit flavors. Windsbuhl is typically one of the last Riesling vineyards harvested by Zind-Humbrecht due to its cool, slow-ripening climate. This allows the grapes to develop exceptional concentration and depth. Look for elegant notes of lime zest, nectarine, honeysuckle, and white peach, all enveloped in a cool, rocky minerality derived from the thin soils that blanket the limestone bedrock.
