Costa Lazaridi Rose 2023 Greece
This rosé is ready to drink now, but you can also cellar it for up to three years. There’s no need to decant it before serving.
Domaine Costa Lazaridi is located in Adriani, in the Macedonia region of Greece. The estate boasts a 15,000 square meter facility that houses not only vineyards, but also a winery, distillery, underground cellars for aging, and visitor areas. In addition to a wide range of wines, the company also produces spirits and balsamic vinegar. Their journey began in 1979 with their first vineyard planted in Xiropotamos on the slopes of Mount Falakro. The high quality of their wines has fueled the company’s growth and success ever since.
Domaine Costa Lazaridi’s rosé is a highly regarded and sought-after Greek wine. It’s made from a blend of Merlot, Agiorgitiko, and Grenache grapes. To preserve the wine’s elegant character and fruity notes, fermentation takes place in a temperature-controlled environment.
This rosé has a pale salmon color and a refined flavor profile, with hints of cherry, strawberry, fresh plum, citrus zest, and delicate floral notes of verbena. On the palate, it has a smooth texture and a pleasingly rich mouthfeel. The vibrant acidity is balanced by fresh fruit flavors. This wine pairs perfectly with seafood and shellfish appetizers. For the best experience, chill it to 8°C (around 46°F) before serving.
