This wine is ready to be enjoyed now, or you can cellar it for up to 20 years to allow its flavors to mature and deepen. Decanting it for about half an hour before serving is recommended.

George Lazaridi and his brother Gerasimos represent the second generation of leadership at the Costa Lazaridi winery, located in Adriani, Drama. Today, the company cultivates roughly 230 hectares of vineyards, growing 25 different grape varieties and producing 15 different wines. In addition to its four distinct wine brands (Amethystos, Chateau Julia, Domaine Costa Lazaridi, and Enotria Land), the company also produces Tsipouro, Ouzo, and Eau de Vie distillates, as well as balsamic vinegar.

The grapes for this wine are sourced from organically farmed vineyards and fermented in oak casks. The wine then undergoes a maturation period of 24 months in new oak barriques.

This wine presents a dense, almost impenetrable, dark red color. On the nose, it is complex and intense, offering aromas of plums, dried figs, cherry jam, and nuances of vanilla and leather imparted by the oak aging. Costa Lazaridi Oenotria Land Syrah Agiorgitiko is soft, rich, and boasts elegant, well-integrated tannins. A vibrant acidity provides balance and freshness. The flavors of ripe fruit carry through to the warm and persistent finish. This wine is an ideal accompaniment to game stews or red meats cooked in red wine with spices.
