Evoking the vibrancy of a spring day, this lively and aromatic rosé from Moldova is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, with smaller proportions of Merlot and the indigenous Rara Neagra grape. The grapes are cultivated near the Black Sea, where the cooling influence of the water helps to retain their freshness and fragrance. To ensure the grapes arrive at the winery in pristine condition, they are all hand-harvested and vinified using traditional local techniques.

This captivating rosé displays a delicate pink hue and entices with aromas of ripe peaches, apricot blossom, lemon zest, and crushed raspberries. On the palate, it offers refreshing acidity balanced by rich orchard fruit flavors and dark berry notes, culminating in a clean, pure finish.

Chateau Purcari is Moldova’s oldest winery, established in 1827 by a special decree from Tsar Nicholas I. The estate flourished in the 19th century, achieving international acclaim for its exceptional wines and earning gold medals both within Moldova and at the prestigious Paris World Exhibition. In recent years, Purcari has experienced a resurgence, with an impressive showing at the Decanter World Wine Awards, where it received numerous top medals, including a silver for this elegant rosé.
