Château Purcari is one of the most prestigious wineries in Eastern Europe. In 1847, the company gained renown with its Negru de Purcari wine, which won gold medals at the agricultural exhibition of Bessarabia and the Universal Exposition in Paris. Today, it is celebrated worldwide for its super-premium wines, which have accumulated over 200 awards at prestigious international competitions throughout the centuries. The winery even enjoyed legendary appreciation at the royal court of Great Britain.

Fetească Neagră is an indigenous grape variety with a strong personality. Only 6,123 bottles of this wine were produced, a number that holds a specific meaning symbolizing harmony: 6 represents the day man was created, 1 the day light was created, 2 the day Heaven was created, and 3 the day the earth was created.

This wine is smooth and velvety, with soft tannins and a touch of residual sugar. It displays an intense ruby color in the glass. The aromatic profile is exuberant, showcasing notes of ripe cherries, raspberries, blueberries, and currants, followed by hints of vanilla and tobacco. On the palate, it is complex and elegant, with dominant chocolate flavors interwoven with notes of prunes, blackberries, coffee, and subtle hints of mint. This wine pairs beautifully with game, pork ribs, or roast beef.
