A Champagne House with History

The story of this small, family-run Champagne house began in 1889 when Jean-Baptiste Laherte first established the estate. Today, the 7th generation, Aurélien Laherte, leads the way. He’s part of a new wave of young winemakers crafting exceptional artisanal Champagnes by blending traditional techniques with modern philosophies.

A Passion for the Land

The Laherte family owns 9 hectares of vines spread across 70 different parcels and 10 communes, mainly concentrated around Épernay and Chavot, where the winery is located. This diverse tapestry of vineyards allows them to create Champagnes that express the unique character of the terroir, with a particular focus on Pinot Meunier, which thrives in this region. Driven by a passion for quality and sustainability, the family farms most of their vineyards biodynamically, preserving the land for future generations.

A Grower Champagne Gem

This exceptional Brut is a prime example of a top-tier Grower Champagne, offering remarkable value from a talented, family-run estate. The cuvée is predominantly Pinot Meunier, complemented by 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. Primary fermentation in barrels adds complexity and depth to the wine. Dosage is kept to a minimum, allowing the natural character of the fruit and terroir to shine through. The result is a beautifully pure flavor profile with vibrant citrus notes, a distinctive stony minerality, and a refreshingly clean finish.
