Champagne Henri Giraud Esprit Nature
Savor this Champagne now, or cellar it for a few more years. There’s no need to decant it before serving.
This golden Champagne is crafted from 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. It opens with a harmonious bouquet, where red berries and citrus fruits intertwine seamlessly. You’ll also find hints of fresh dough, apricot, and vanilla essence. The grapes were sourced exclusively from Grand and Premier Cru vineyards, and the resulting wine was blended in a 50/50 ratio with “perpetual reserve wine” from previous vintages.
Henri Giraud is a multi-generational Champagne house located in the heart of Aÿ, currently managed by Claude Giraud. The Aÿ region is deeply intertwined with the history of Champagne and is widely regarded as one of the world’s most exceptional winegrowing appellations. In fact, until 1887, sparkling wines from Champagne were referred to as “wines of Aÿ.”
Esprit Nature is bright and medium to full-bodied on the palate. It is vibrant with notes of strawberry, raspberry, and candied lemon, complemented by subtle hints of white pepper, brioche, and vanilla. On the finish, a pleasant bitterness emerges, reminiscent of almonds and minerals. This is a world-class Champagne from a renowned appellation, perfect for celebrations. Consider pairing it with oysters, caviar, or salmon.
