The great strength and appeal of the Bin 389 lies in the interplay of complex aromas and the dense palate feel for which Penfolds is famous. The wine is partially aged in new oak and partially in the used barrels of Grange.

The extremely harmonious cuvée presents itself very dense, but round and silky soft, with notes of dark berries, mocha, and chocolate, and a touch of eucalyptus. Long-lasting and intense. Considerable potential.
